A blog dedicated to the often ridiculous, frequently irritating and occasionally heart-warming realities of single-parenting. Because, let’s face it, nobody really wants to hear about how perfect motherhood is…

I’m a novelist, scriptwriter, and head of the copywriting department for a global translation firm. I also suck at laundry and getting my son’s homework done. I swear in front of him when I shouldn’t, and we are pretty much always late for school.

And given that R is really the main character of this blog, he deserves an “about” too. He is a seven-year-old super-nerd, who loves computer games, bows and arrows (toy ones so far…), being trapped under duvets, pizza, and puns (woohoo!). Also standard kid stuff like swimming, playing in parks and getting irritated with his mother.
